The Latin American Music Awards pay tribute to the top Latin artists in the market today, with fans voting for the ultimate winners. In true Latin AMAs fashion, many categories this year are honoring the best of tropical, urban, pop and Regional Mexican music, including song of the year.
Despite the endless amount of songs this past year, only five were selected for the title. They include Bad Bunny and Drake’s “Mia,” DJ Snake’s “Taki Taki” featuring Selena Gomez, Cardi B and Ozuna, Daddy Yankee and Snow’s “Con Calma,” Pedro Capo and Farruko’s “Calma” and “Ella Quiere Beber” by Anuel AA and Romeo Santos.
On the Billboard charts, all the songs have entered the Billboard Hot 100. On Hot Latin Songs, all except for “Calma” and “Ella Quiere Beber” have topped the chart. (Check them out below.)
The fifth annual Latin AMAs will air live at 8 p.m. ET on Thursday, Oct. 17, from the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood. The awards show will be preceded by a one-hour red carpet pre-show called “La Alfombra de Latin AMAs,” kicking off at 7 p.m. ET.
